KCSE supervisor dies in road accident in Rumuruti

A KCSE supervisor was killed early this week after the vehicles she was travelling in  overturned and rolled several times, a few kilometres from Rumuruti town in Laikipia County.
  Reports reaching The Home News disclosed that the vehicle was ferrying exam papers Laikipia West District when it overturned along the Rumuruti-Muhotetu road.
  The superviors was identified by a ministry  of Education official as Ms Jane Wamucii Kanyugo, a teacher at Kangumo Day Secondary School.
  During the 5.30 pm accident, five other supervisors were seriously injured and were taken to Rumuruti Sub-district Hospital nfor emergency treatment. Two of them were later taken to a private hospital in Nyahururu town.
  Wangenye Ndung’u of the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education teachers in Laikipia County was quoted as saying that the driver of the vehicle had lost control during when the vehilce rolled several times.
  It was confirmed that all the exam papers were intact afdter the accident and were taken top Nyahururu town. The supervisors were ferrying exam papers form  six centres to the Laikipia West Headquarters in Rumuruti. Among those injured wqas Ms Kanyugo’s colleague who was supervising examinations at Kangumo Mixed Secondary School, a police officer and a prison warder.
